Compiled from the Plans deposited in the Patent Office, Quebec, by Samuel Holland, Surveyor General--To which is added, a Plan of the Rivers Choudiac and Magagouadavic. Surveyed in 1796-7-8, by order of the Commissioners appointed to ascertain the true St. Croix, intended by the Treaty of Peace between His Britannick Majesty and the United States of America: London, 1813.
Plan of the Exploring Survey of a Line running due North from the Monument at the source of the River St. Croix, as run in the Field, by the Surveyors employed on the part of the British Government and the United States of America; under Instructions of the Commisioners appointed for determining the Boundary between the British Colonies and the Territory of the United States of America, under the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th Articles of the Treaty of Ghent. Surveyed by Lieut. Colonel Bouchette, His Majesty's Surveyor General, appointed for that purpose, on the part of the British Government: Quebec, 1817. (Manuscript, in 3 sheets. This line was permanently opened from the Monument, at the Sources of the St. Croix, to the River Maduxkenag, and thence continued as an Exploring Line, passing Mars Hill, traversing St. John's River, and run up to the Waters of the River Ristigouche, at a branch, thereof called Great Wagansis, ending at a Cross planted by the Revd. J. O. Plessis, Catholic Bishop of Quebec, on the Southern side thereof; being at the distance of 99 miles from the St. Croix Monument.
