Materials Required:

AMERICAN THREAD “AUNT LYDIA’S” HEAVY RUG YARN
4—70 yd. skeins each Old Rose and Dk. Rose
3—70 yd. skeins Pink

Aluminum Crochet Hook Size H OR ANY SIZE HOOK WHICH WILL RESULT IN STITCH GAUGE BELOW

GAUGE: 3 sts = 1 inch; 4 rows = 1 inch

With Old Rose ch 2, 8 s c in 1st st of ch, do not join or turn this or following rounds. Place a marker at the beginning of each round. 2nd ROUND: 2 s c in 1st s c (NOTE: all s c are worked into the center of the st instead of at top of st, this will not be referred to again), drop Old Rose, attach Dk. Rose, 2 s c in each remaining s c, drop Dk. Rose. 3rd ROUND: Attach Pink, * s c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from * twice, drop Pink, with Old Rose * s c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from * 3 times, 1 s c in each of the next 2 s c, with Dk. Rose s c in same space where last s c was worked. 4th ROUND: * 1 s c in each of the next 2 s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from * twice, 1 s c in each of the next 2 s c, with Pink 2 s c in next s c, * 1 s c in each of the next 2 s c, 2 s c in next s c, repeat from * twice, s c in next s c, with Old Rose s c in next s c, 2 s c in next s c. 5th ROUND: 1 s c in each of the next 13 s c, with Dk. Rose 1 s c in each of the next 19 s c. Cut yarn as follows: twelve 1½ yard lengths of Pink, twelve 1¾ yard lengths of Dk. Rose and twelve 2¼ yard lengths of Old Rose. Tie all lengths together in the following order, * Pink, Dk. Rose, Old Rose, repeat from * until all lengths are tied. 6th ROUND: With Pink working in s c increase in every 4th s c. Work 1 round even in s c. 8th ROUND: Inc in every 4th s c. Work 1 round even. 10th ROUND: Inc in every 5th s c. Work 1 round even. 12th ROUND: Inc in every 4th s c. Work 1 round even. 14th ROUND: Inc in every 5th s c. When all lengths are used cut yarn into following lengths: Pink into 2½ yard lengths, Dk. Rose into 3 yard lengths and Old Rose into 3½ yard lengths. Work 3 rounds even: Repeat last 4 rounds once. 22nd ROUND: Inc in every 4th s c. Work 8 rounds even. 31st ROUND: Inc in every 5th s c. Work 1 round even. 33rd ROUND: Inc in every 5th s c. Work 7 rounds even. 41st ROUND: Inc in every 5th s c. Work 5 rounds even. 47th ROUND: Inc in every 10th s c. Work 3 rounds even, join last round, cut yarn.

FRINGE: Cut all colors in 8 inch lengths. Take one strand, double in half and loop through each st alternating colors.
