Toad-in-the-Hole.
- Ingredients—8 oz. of flour.
- 2 eggs.
- 1 pint of milk.
- 1½ lb. of ox kidney.
- A little salt.
Method.—Put the flour into a basin.
Put in the eggs; mix gradually.
Add the milk by degrees.
Beat well, and add the salt.
Cut the kidney in pieces, lay them in a well-greased Yorkshire-pudding tin; and pour the batter over.
Bake from one and a quarter to one and a half hours.
