• 1 lb. Butter.
• 2 lbs. Sugar.
• 9 oz. Lard.
• 1½ pts. Water.
• ¾ oz. Ammonia.
• ¾ oz. Caraway Seed.
• 6 lbs. Flour.

The dough for the above should be worked well. Break the butter up well with the sugar and water.
