Genus PAMPHILA Fabricius
(1) Pamphila mandan Edwards, [Plate CXXXVIII], Fig. 4, ♂ (The Arctic Skipper).
Recognizable from our figure. It is totally unlike any other species in the fauna. Expanse 1.10 inch.
Found from Labrador to Alaska, and on the mountains of Idaho and Montana.
