Mark 14:43-52Matt. 26:47-56Luke 22:47-53John 18:2-12

43 And
straightway, while
he yet spake,
cometh Judas,
one of the twelve,
and with him
a multitude
with swords
and staves,
from the chief
priests and the
scribes and
the elders.

44 Now he
that betrayed
him had given
them a token,
saying,
Whomsoever I
shall kiss, that is
he; take him, and
lead him away
safely. 45 And
when he was
come, straightway
he came
to him, and
saith, Rabbi;
and 1kissed
him.

46 And they
laid hands on
him, and took
him.
47 But a
certain one of
them that
stood by drew
his sword, and
smote the
2servant of the
high priest,
and struck off
his ear.

48 And
Jesus answered
and said unto
them,
Are
ye come out,
as against a
robber, with
swords and
staves to seize
me? 49 I was
daily with you
in the temple
teaching, and
ye took me
not: but this
is done
that
the scriptures
might be
fulfilled. 50 And
they all left
him, and fled.
51 And a
certain young
man followed
with him,
having a linen
cloth cast
about him,
over his naked
body: and they
lay hold on
him; 52 but he
left the linen
cloth, and fled
naked.

47 And while
he yet spake, lo,
Judas, one of
the twelve,
came, and with
him a great
multitude with
swords and
staves, from
the chief
priests and
elders of the
people.

48 Now he
that betrayed
him gave them
a sign, saying,
Whomsoever I
shall kiss, that
is he: take
him.
49 And
straightway he
came to Jesus,
and said, Hail,
Rabbi; and
1kissed him.
50 And Jesus
said unto him,
Friend, do that
for which thou
art come. Then
they came and
laid hands on
Jesus, and took
him. 51 And
behold, one of
them that
were with
Jesus stretched
out his
hand, and drew
his sword, and
smote the
2servant of the
high priest,
and struck off
his ear. 52 Then
saith Jesus unto
him, Put up
again thy
sword into its
place: for all
they that take
the sword shall
perish with the
sword. 53 Or
thinkest thou
that I cannot
beseech my
Father, and he
shall even now
send me more
than twelve
legions of
angels? 54 How
then should
the scriptures
be fulfilled,
that thus it
must be? 55 In
that hour said
Jesus to the
multitudes,
Are
ye come out
as against a
robber with
swords and
staves to seize
me? I sat daily
in the temple
teaching, and
ye took me
not. 56 But all
this is come to
pass, that the
scriptures of
the prophets
might be
fulfilled. Then
all the
disciples left
him, and fled.

47 While he yet
spake, behold,
a multitude,
and he that
was called Judas,
one of the
twelve, went
before them;

and he drew
near unto
Jesus to kiss
him. 48 But
Jesus said unto
him, Judas,
betrayest thou
the Son of man
with a kiss?
49 And when they
that were about
him saw what
would follow,
they said,
Lord, shall we
smite with the
sword?
50 And a
certain one of
them smote
the 2servant of
the high priest,
and struck off
his right ear.
51 But
Jesus answered
and said,
Suffer ye thus
far. And he
touched his
ear, and healed
him.

52 And Jesus
said unto the
chief priests,
and captains
of the temple,
and elders,
which were
come against
him, Are ye
come out, as
against a
robber, with
swords and
staves? 53 When
I was daily
with you in the
temple, ye
stretched not
forth your
hands against
me: but this is
your hour, and
the power of
darkness.
2 Now Judas
also, which
betrayed him,
knew the
place: for Jesus
oft-times
resorted thither
with his disciples.
3 Judas
then, having
received the
3band of
soldiers,
and
officers from
the chief
priests and the
Pharisees,
cometh thither
with lanterns
and torches
and weapons.
4 Jesus therefore,
knowing
all the things
that were coming
upon him,
went forth, and
saith unto
them, Whom
seek ye? 5 They
answered him,
Jesus of
Nazareth. Jesus
saith unto
them, I am he.
And Judas
also, which
betrayed him,
was standing
with them.
6 When therefore
he said
unto them,
I am he, they
went backward,
and fell
to the ground.
7 Again therefore
he asked
them, Whom
seek ye? And
they said,
Jesus of
Nazareth. 8 Jesus
answered, I told
you that I am
he: if therefore
ye seek me, let
these go their
way: 9 that the
word might be
fulfilled which
he spake, Of
those whom
thou hast
given me I lost
not one.

10 Simon Peter
therefore
having a sword
drew it, and
struck the
high priest's
2servant, and
cut off his right
ear. Now the
2servant's name
was Malchus.
11 Jesus therefore
said unto
Peter, Put up
the sword into
the sheath: the
cup which the
Father hath
given me, shall
I not drink it?
12 So the 3band
and the 4chief
captain, and
the officers of
the Jews, seized
Jesus and
bound him.
