Matt. 9:27-34

27 And as Jesus passed by from thence, two blind men followed him, crying out, and saying, Have mercy on us, thou son of David. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it done unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus 1strictly charged them, saying, See that no man know it. 31 But they went forth, and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

32 And as they went forth, behold, there was brought to him a dumb man possessed with a 2devil. 33 And when the 2devil was cast out, the dumb man spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. 34 But the Pharisees said, 3By the prince of the 4devils casteth he out 4devils.

§ 69. THE LASTa VISIT TO NAZARETH

Mark 6:1-6Matt. 13:54-58
1 And he went out from thence;
and he cometh into his own
country; and his disciples follow
him. 2 And when the sabbath
was come, he began to teach in
the synagogue: and 3many hearing
him were astonished, saying,
Whence hath this man these
things? and, What is the wisdom
that is given unto this man, and
what mean such 1mighty works
wrought by his hands? 3 Is not
this the carpenter, the son of
Mary, and brother of James, and
Joses, and Judas, and Simon?
and are not his sisters here with
us? And they were 2offended in
him. 4 And Jesus said unto them,
A prophet is not without honour,
save in his own country, and
among his own kin, and in his
own house. 5 And he could there
do no 4mighty work, save that
he laid his hands upon a few
sick folk, and healed them. 6 And
he marvelled because of their
unbelief.

54 And coming into his own
country he taught them in their
synagogue, insomuch that they
were astonished, and said,
Whence hath this man this wisdom,
and these 1mighty works?
55 Is not this
the carpenter's son? is not his
mother called Mary? and his
brethren, James, and Joseph, and
Simon, and Judas? 56 And his
sisters, are they not all with us?
Whence then hath this man all
these things? 57 And they were
2offended in him. But Jesus said
unto them, A prophet is not
without honour, save in his own
country, and in his own house.
58 And he did not many 1mighty
works there because of their
unbelief.
