Chives. Eight hair-like threads, nearly the length of the blossom, fixed into the receptacle. Tips bearded.
Pointal. Seed-vessel bell-shaped. Shaft thread-shaped, twisted, and without the blossom. Summit four-cornered.
Native of the Cape of Good Hope.
Flowers from March till August.
