SPECIFIC CHARACTER.
Heath, with tips two-horned at their base, and without the blossom: the blossoms are club-shaped, an inch and a half long, yellow: the leaves grow by fours, are smooth, blunt, and thick.
DESCRIPTION.
Stem shrubby, upright, grows three feet high, and branching: the smaller branches are short, and grow in whorls.
Leaves grow by fours, are blunt, linear, thick, and have short foot-stalks pressed to the branches.
Flowers are terminal at the summit of the smaller branches, waving, having short foot-stalks, with three spathula-shaped floral leaves.
