Calyx. Perianthium tetraphyllum; foliolis spathulatis, carneis, corollâ longioribus.

Corolla minuta, urceolata, saturate carnea, ad basin pallida; oris laciniis patentibus.

Stamina. Filamenta octo, capillaria; antheris cristatis, inclusis.

Pistillum. Germen tiaræforme. Stylus inclusus, filiformis. Stigma tetragonum, reflexum.

Habitat ad Caput Bonæ Spei.

Floret a mense Julii in Octobrem.

SPECIFIC CHARACTER.

Heath, with crested tips, within the blossom. Leaves by threes. Branches thread-shaped. The flowers grow by threes, are small, pitcher-shaped, and of a deep flesh colour. The leaves of the cup are longer than the flower.
