With White ch 8, work same as mat for 8 rows, cut yarn, do not turn. EDGE: Attach Lt. Rose in 1st st, 7 d c shell in same space, skip next 3 sts, sl st in next st, 7 d c shell in last st, working down side, sl st in space between 4th and 5th rows, 7 d c shell in next corner st, work remaining sides and corners to correspond, join, cut yarn. 2nd ROW: Attach Dk. Green in same space with any sl st, ch 3, 2 d c in same space, skip 1 d c of next shell, work sl sts across 7 d c shell same as mat, 3 d c in same space where next sl st was worked, continue all around in same manner, join, cut yarn.
