This is a rhyme about my kitten,
The prettiest kitten that ever purred.
I’ll write all about her that can be written,
And you may believe it, every word.
On each fore-paw is a soft white mitten;
On each hind-paw is a black fur boot;
And as for the rest, this dainty kitten
Wears an elegant silky striped suit.
All through the summer, this sprightly kitten
Brought me the spoils of her grace and skill:
