U-ḳoⁿ´-dsi-noⁿ-zhiⁿ, Stands-alone. Refers to the solitary buffalo that stands alone, apart from the herd.

U-mi´-zhe, Bedding. Refers to the use of the buffalo hide for bedding.

U-ḳi´-p̣a-toⁿ, Rolls-himself. Refers to the rolling of the buffalo on the ground. (In the Iⁿ-gthe´-zhi-de gens of the Omaha tribe.)

Wa-noⁿ´-ge, Stampede. Refers to the stampeding of a buffalo herd.
