Remember that prayer is not mere petition, but communion, pouring out the whole soul to God. Prayer is the golden key that unlocks all the storehouse: of God’s grace; they are opened by men and women on their knees. There is little danger of too much time being spent in prayer. Bad habits are overcome by prayer; evil thoughts and tendencies are rooted out by prayer; dark hours are made light by prayer; midnight of prayer brings noonday and victory. “True prayer is the reflection of God’s thoughts back upon Himself, therefore to get God’s thoughts and pray in the spirit, I would pray over my Bible." Form the habit of prayer immediately on awakening in the morning, Make Daniel and David the rule of life. Form habit of praying whenever doubt, difficulty, temptation, or trial arises, any hour of the day or night.
IF my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

NOW, when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
