Doors ½ in. steel plate, strengthened to 1 in. over Lock and other vital parts.
Lock Case of steel, T section 3 × 2½ × ⅜ in., fitted with numerous steel bolts in front and a continuous fixed bolt at back of door. The door rabbets against a strong bar frame, entirely preventing its being forced open by means of wedges. This frame extends round the whole inside face of the front flange to which it is securely riveted.
Bolt-work secured by Ratner Improved Balance Seven-Lever Unpickable Powder and Violence Proof Locks, protected by a Plate of Ratner Drill-proof Compo. Safe Steel ½ in. thick.
Fire-resisting Chambers.—Lined throughout with wrought steel fire-resisting chambers, 4 in. in thickness, filled with best non-conducting composition, in which is mixed chemical material evolving moisture on the application of heat.
