O cherished liberty! in vain I follow after thee:
I see thy tree every where, and thy fruits no where.

[53] A mean or medium winter.

[54] I am a better gentleman than my father, because I have one generation more.

[55] There is no harm in that.

[56] There is no bad smell. This fire makes itself respected. What a heat!
