LK 21:1-4

1 He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2 and he also saw a poor widow put in two copper coins. 3 So he said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of the others; 4 for these all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had to live on."

92.10 Jesus Foretells His Death on the Cross

JN 12:20-50

20 Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to

worship at the Feast. 21 Then they came to Philip, who was from

Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus." 22 Philip went and told Andrew; and in turn Andrew and Philip told Jesus. 23 Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much fruit. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him my Father will honor.

27 "Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again." 29 The crowd standing by heard it and said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him." 30 Jesus answered, "This voice has come for your sake, not for mine. 31 Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." 33 He said this to show by what death he was to die. 34 The crowd answered him, "We have heard from the Law that the Christ remains forever; and how can you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?" 35 Then Jesus said to them, "A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest the darkness overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light."

When Jesus had said this, he departed and hid himself from them. 37 Though he had done so many signs before them, yet they did not believe in him; 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:

"Lord, who has believed our report?
