According to Wriothesley, Wyatt was beheaded on Tower Hill “at 6 o’clock in the forenoon, and his body after quartered on the scaffold” (Chronicle, vol. ii., p. 115). Wriothesley gives the date of his execution as the 11th April. It is probable that one of his quarters was set on the gallows on Hay Hill.
