It is inferred that Zúñiga was professed when he entered Luis de Leon's cell thirteen years before 1572 (Documentos inéditos, vol. X, pp. 67-68). There is, however, some difficulty in adjusting the date of this profession with the statement that Zúñiga was thirty-six when he gave evidence.
