The Conditional.—Podmiňovací způsob.
The Bohemian verb has no subjunctive mood. The Conditional or indicative moods with proper conjunction express the condition, wish, doubt or concession.
Conditional auxiliary.—Pomocné podmiňovací slůvko bych.
| já bych, I would | my bychom, we would |
| ty bys, you would | vy byste, you would |
| on, ona, ono by, he, she, it would | oni, ony, ona by, they would |
(Bych, bys, is a survival of the ancient aorist of Old Bohemian).
The Conditional is compounded from the conditional auxiliary and past participle. The participle agrees with its subject in gender and number in the same way as in the past tense.
