Do implies the accomplishment of an action, the carrying out of it to the end. Examples: dočísti, to read through; donésti, to deliver; dorůsti, to grow to maturity; dodati, to deliver, to furnish; dokonati, to finish, to end.

Na a) denotes an action upon something. Ex.: naložiti, to put a load on; namazati (máslo), to spread, to grease (butter); natírati, to paint, to rub, to put on a coat of paint, or ointment;

b) signifies an abundance of action or achievement: Navařiti, to cook a whole lot; napíti se, to drink; natlouci někomu, to give somebody a sound thrashing, to fall over somebody; napadnouti, to attack somebody; nashromážditi, to gather in abundance; nasmáti se, to have a good laugh.

Nad denotes an action in above direction.

Nadepsati, to head (a letter); nadsazovati, to exaggerate; nadužiti, to abuse (overuse).

O, also ob-, obe-, expresses a motion around.

Ohlédnouti se, to look around; ohlásiti, to make known; ohnouti, to bend; opevniti, to fortify, (to make secure all around); opotřebovati, to wear out by use; oprášiti, to dust off.

Od, ode, denotes separation.

Odnésti, to carry away; odraziti, to rebound; zahnati to repel; odeslati, to send away; odvolati, to recall; odepsati, to answer in writing; odmítnouti, to refuse; odkrojiti, to cut off.
