The past and passive participles agree in gender and number with their subjects.

Hoch nesl. Hoši nesli. Hoch byl nesen. Hoši byli neseni. Děvče neslo. Zvířata nesla. Děvče bylo neseno. Děvčata byla nesena.

In the imperative, the first form (2nd person singular) is the imperative stem. The other forms (see [lesson XVII.]) are formed by the suffixes -me and -te.
