All other tences are framed by the Participles Gíto or Ito, and the helpe of the verbe Éssere, as thus.

- Io ẻro gíto or íto.
- Io sía gíto or íto.

And thus much I thinke sufficient to haue spoken of Verbes, wherein if I haue been ouer long, I humbly beseech your Maiesty to pardon mee, and impute it as well to your owne gracious commandement, as to the necessary vse of them: for, as your sacred selfe well knowes, there is no part of speech so necessary to be knowen, and as farre as I could euer read, heare or see none more imperfectly and poorely set downe in other Grammars or Rules of the Italian tongue. And if any accuse mee to haue vsed some vnusuall and new names for some Verbes, Tences or Moodes, be it lawfull for mee to runne for refuge vnto your Royall protection, that haue euer so graciously beene pleased to grace and approoue them. And be but your Maiesty pleased, I care not greatly who be displeased. But Madam let me now say something of the Indeclinable Particles or Immutables as parts of speech very essentiall, and so frequent in vse, that no man can speake fiue words without some of them.
