Three hundred and twenty-five copies of this most important publication were printed. A necessary companion to Sotheby's Principia Typographica, but executed with infinitely more critical sagacity and learning. Every distinguished collector of books and prints and every public library must have this book as the standard work of information and reference on the subject of the History of Printing before the art of printing with movable types was invented.
