Muy Señor mio: Tengo el gusto de informar á V. que la Anastasia llegó felizmente á este puerto el dia ántes de ayer, y que el azúcar y café de V. estan ya en mi almacen. Espero pasar á V. dentro de poco su cuenta de venta, y a precios que no dudo merezcan su aprobacion: en el entretanto quedo á sus órdenes con el mayor respeto, y soy su muy afecto servidor,

Sir: I have just received a letter from Captain A. Smith, of the Anastasia, dated Savannah on the ... instant, informing me that he has been obliged to enter said port in distress, in order to repair the damages sustained by said vessel, in consequence of the severe gale experienced during her passage. He supposes the cargo to be damaged.
In order to secure your interests, I have made a protest in your name; which, together with all the necessary documents, I have presented to the underwriters, and in due time I will inform you of the results.
