Aia no ke ’kua la i uka;
Ke hoá la i ka papa a enaena,

The god is at work in the hills;
She has fired the plain oven-hot;
The forest-fringe of the pit is aflame;—
Fire-tongues, fire-globes, that sway in the wind—
