E. PARTY CONSTITUTION OF THE CHINESE COMMUNIST PARTY[1]

Despite the many changes in the governmental form of the Communist-controlled areas, the Chinese Communist Party has retained the same Party Constitution for many years. The following constitution was adopted in 1928 by the Sixth Party Congress.

Chapter I. Title

Article 1. The Title: The Communist Party of China is a branch of the Communist International. Therefore the title is "The Chinese Communist Party."
