SKETCH No. 32.
A simple mantel, with arched opening and plain niche with marble shelf above, and egg and dart ornament forming a finish between the brickwork and the wooden cornice at the top of the mantel. This cornice projects a few inches, and a lambrequin may be added to soften the effect of the mantel.
