Translation.
| Take | salt of tartar or soda | 20 grains. |
| Gum Arabic and loaf sugar | each 1 drachm. | |
| Tincture of opium (laudanum) | 10 drops. | |
| Water | 3 ounces. |
To the above a drop of oil of cinnamon may be added and it may be given in doses of one teaspoonful in lime water and milk, when cholera morbus is followed by diarrhœa and dysentery.
