The nurse pretends to shoe the baby’s feet and sings:—
“Ferre, ferre la pouliche,
Pour allaïr vée ma nourriche,
Ferre, ferre le poulaïn,
Pour allaïr vée mon parrain;
Ferre, ferre le cheval,
Pour allaïr à Torteval.”
