Yaqūlu ʾl-insānu yaumaʾiẕin aina ʾl-mafarr.

(But man chooseth to go astray as to his future;

He asketh, “When this Day of Resurrection?”

When the eye-sight shall be dazzled,

And the moon shall be darkened,

And the sun and the moon shall be together,

On that day man shall cry, “Where is there a place to flee to?”)

Wa-wujūhin yaumaʾiẕin nāẓirah

Ilā rabbi-hā nāz̤irah,
