Jesus Broke the Sabbath and Justified the Act.
Therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him because he had done these things on the Sabbath day. ([John 5 : 16].)
At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were a hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day. But he said unto them, ... Have ye not read in the law, how that on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless? ([Mat. 12 : 1, 2, 3, 5].)
Baptism Commanded.
Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. ([Mat. 28 : 19].)
Baptism Not Commanded.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel.... I thank God that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Gaius. ([1 Cor. 1 : 17, 14].)
