With White and No. 9 needles, cast on 34 sts and work in Garter st (K each row) for 2¾ inches. NEXT 2 ROWS: K across each row casting on 10 sts at end of each row for sides (54 sts). Work even for 2¼ more inches. NEXT ROW: K across 14 sts, bind off next 26 sts for top opening, K across remaining 14 sts. NEXT ROW: K across 14 sts, cast on 26 sts, work across remaining 14 sts. Work even until side measures 4½ inches from cast on sts. NEXT 2 ROWS: Bind off 10 sts at beg of each row. Work even on remaining 34 center sts for 2¾ inches, bind off.
FINISHING: Weave 4 corner seams. Work a row of sl sts around lower edge and top opening. Make 1 large Watermelon flower same as seat cover. Make 1 small Orange flower, 1 stem and 3 leaves. Sew in position as illustrated.
