Obverse, bust with name AETHELBEARHT or AETHEBEARHT, RE or REX. Reverse, cross or other device, and moneyer’s name, etc. The one engraved bears in a cross the moneyer’s name [+] DEGBEARHT, and MO of MONETA, the last four letters of which (NETA) are between the limbs of the cross. Sixty varieties of moneyers’ names are known.
