ROW 2—Ch 3, 3 dc in one lp of center sc of next petal, ch 2, sl st in 3d shell from joining of 2 Large Motifs (on inside of circle), ch 2, 3 dc back in same sc, ch 3, sc between petals, * ch 3, 3 dc in center sc of next petal, ch 2, sl st in next shell on Large Motif (2d shell from joining of Motifs), ch 2, 3 dc back in same sc, ch 3, sc between petals, * ch 3, 3 dc in center sc of next petal, ch 10, sl st in next shell on Large Motif, ch 7, sl st across in 1st shell on next Large Motif, ch 7, sk last 7 sts of 10-ch, sl st in next st, ch 2, 3 dc back in same sc on Small Motif, ch 3, sc between petals. ROW 6—Sl st to next 7-ch lp, ch 5, 5 tr in same lp, ch 3, sl st in center petal on one Small Motif, * ch 3, 6 tr back in same shell on Center, 6 tr in next shell on Center, ch 9, sl st in next petal on same Small Motif, ch 10, sl st in 1st petal on next Small Motif, ch 6, sk last 6 sts of 9-ch, sl st in next ch st, ch 2, 6 tr back in same shell on Center, 6 tr in next shell on Center, ch 3, sl st in next petal on same Small Motif. MATERIALS—Jack Frost Knitting Worsted (4-fold Germantown) in 4-oz. Skeins:—1-sk. Harding Blue and 1½-sks. Silver Gray. Crochet hook size 0. CRAZY DAISY WINDER. Buckram and ⅖ yd. Gray felt for lining Bag.
DAISY—Following instructions on page [2], Illustration C, wind Blue yarn twice around each spoke of Winder. Cut 1” long and weave center with Gray as in Ill. E, making a 12-petal flower with 2 lps in each petal. Make 31 for Beret and 30 for Bag.
BLOCK—In Gray, sc thru both lps of one petal, * ch 2, sc in back lp of next petal, sc in front lp, ch 2, ** (sc, ch 3, sc) in both lps of next petal. Repeat from * around. End with 1 sc in 1st petal, ch 3, sl st in 1st sc. Cut 6” long, thread to a needle and fasten off on back.
