Ch 2, sc in each lp of next petal, ch 2, sc in both lps of next petal, ch 1, sl st in a corner p of 1st Block, ** ch 1, sc back in same petal, ch 1, sl st in next 2-ch sp on 1st Block, ch 1, sc back in each lp of next petal, ch 1, sl st in next 2-ch sp on 1st Block, ch 1, sc back in both lps of next petal, ch 1, * sl st in corner p of 1st Block, ch 1, sc back in same petal. Complete Block as for 1st one.
3d BLOCK—Repeat 1st Block to **. Sc in both lps of next petal, ch 1, sl st in 1st corner p to left of joining of 1st 2 Blocks and repeat 2d Block from ** to *. Sl st in joining of 1st 2 Blocks and repeat 2d Block from ** to end.
BERET—Following Chart, make and join 19 Blocks for Top. Edge—Sl st in Gray in corner A on Chart, 1 hdc and 1 dc in next 2-ch sp, * 1 tr in next 2d sc, 1 tr in next 2-ch sp, dtr in corner p, dtr in joining of Blocks, dtr in next p, tr in next 2-ch sp, tr in next 2d sc, ** 2 tr in next sp, 2 dc in corner p, 2 tr in next sp. ***Repeat from * to **. 1 dc and 1 hdc in next sp, sl st in corner sp. Fasten off. Fill out remaining 5 sides in same way, but do not cut after final side. ROW 2—* Continue with sc in corner p, (2 sc in next sp) twice, sc in corner p, 1 sc in each st to next corner p. Repeat from * around. ROW 3—1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off.
Under Side—Sc in Gray thru both lps of one petal of a Daisy, * (ch 2, 1 sc in each lp of next petal, ch 2, 2 sc thru both lps of next petal) repeated around. End with 2-ch, 1 sc in 1st petal, sl st in 1st sc and fasten off on back.
2d BLOCK—Repeat to *. Ch 1, sl st in a 2-ch sp on 1st Daisy, ch 1, 1 sc back in each lp of next petal, ch 1, sl st in next sp on 1st Daisy, ch 1, 2 sc back thru both lps of next petal and complete as for 1st Daisy. Join 10 more Daisies in same way into a circle, having 4 free petals between joinings on each Daisy on inside of circle and 6 on outside.
Outside Edge—Sl st in Gray in joining between Daisies, ch 7, * tr in next 1-ch sp, 2 dc in next 2-ch sp, 2 sc in next sp, (ch 1, 2 sc in next sp) twice, 2 dc in next sp, 1 tr in next, dtr in joining of Daisies. Repeat from * around and join. ROW 2—1 sc in each st and 1-ch sp around. ROW 3—1 sc in each sc around. Fasten off.
Inside Edge—Sl st in 1st 1-ch sp on one Daisy (next joining of Daisies), ch 6, * dc in next 2d sc, 2 dc in next sp, 2 sc in next, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next 2d sc, tr in next 1-ch sp, tr in next 1-ch sp on next Daisy. Repeat from * around and join. ROW 2—(1 sc in each st around) repeated for 5 rows. Fasten off. ROW 7—Sl st in Blue in 1 sc, (ch 1, dc in next 2 sc, ch 1, sl st in next sc) repeated around. Fasten off.
Lay Top and Under Side back-to-back and sew tog. around edge, going thru both lps of each st. Steam and press dry thru a cloth.
Pom Pon—Wind Blue 6 times around each spoke of Winder, cut 18” long and weave center. Cut all 6 lps of each petal and rub in hands to fluff. Make 3 and sew in a group on Under Side.
